NEW YORK, August 28, 2025 - Pure App, the dating platform of the adventurous, has partnered with TBD Health, a nationwide sexual health platform, to launch at-home STD testing and sexual healthcare. This provides Pure App users in the US with a convenient, private and non-judgmental way to test – on their own terms.
This partnership is part of Pure App’s larger campaign around owning your pleasure in a safe and fun way. “We’re redefining what it means to date safely" said Chantal Pesulima, Pure’s Director of Integrated Marketing, “and firmly believe that allowing our users to access at-home STD testing in our app allows for safe, empowering experience.”
Beginning today, Pure App users will have exclusive access to TBD Health’s at-home STD testing and sex-positive, judgment-free clinical care directly through the PURE App. The partnership features a wide range of STD testing panels - and if individuals aren’t sure what they need, then they can reach out to one of TBD’s sex positive clinicians through a teleconsultation. TBD will also provide an Rx, if appropriate, and answer any questions after a result. (Visit the partnership's landing page: pure.tbd.health)
Through this partnership, Pure is pioneering a more empowered approach to dating by embedding sexual health tools into the dating experience. “Dating apps shape countless relationships, but sexual health is often left out of the conversation. This partnership allows for Pure App users to take control of their health—without friction or stigma” said Stephanie Estey, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of TBD Health. “Pure App is leading the way when it comes to safe dating – and we could not be more excited or proud to launch this partnership.”
STIs are at record-high levels in the U.S. and, if left untreated, can lead to serious long-term effects like chronic pain and infertility. Most STIs are also asymptomatic, especially in people with vaginas, making regular testing essential for early detection and treatment.
The partnership with TBD Health is just one of the many ways that Pure App has prioritized safety for its users. Similar initiatives around photo verification and anonymous chats have also recently made headlines, underlining the App’s commitment to safety.
Pure App is all about fostering trust and transparency. Partnering with TBD Health means we can offer our community a real way to prioritize their health and their partners’ well-being—without awkwardness or judgment.Avril Louise Clarke, Global Brand and Partnerships Lead at Pure
TBD Health was co-founded by two longtime friends, after they found comfort in one another after the countless questions related to sex and sexual health – and, too often, experienced judgment and stigma at the doctors. TBD Health is a hybrid sexual healthcare platform intended to offer non-judgmental, supportive sexual healthcare, making it a routine, easy part of taking care of yourself.
